Thirteen Reasons My Truck Rocks
1. It's a Dodge.
2. It's so roomy inside. It is a joy to drive long distances.
3. The cup holders are the best damn cup holders on the planet because they are adjustable. Back when I used to eat fast food I found that I could easily accomodate the super-sized soda from McDonald's.
4. People generally get out of my way when they see me coming.
5. If I need to move large furniture I know that I don't have to rent any vehicles, my truck can handle it.
6. Because I sit higher than most vehicles, I can generally avoid people's high beams shining into my vehicle (I hated that so much when I drove smaller vehicles).
7. Another bonus to sitting higher is that I can see ahead of traffic which has actually helped me avoid things like road closures and accidents.
8. Max looks really cool riding in my truck.
9. I love freaking people out when I whip my truck into a parking spot. People are generally surprised that I handle my truck so well. Maybe it's because I'm a chick, maybe it's because of the size of the truck or a combination of the two. Either way, I love people's reaction to my truck.
10. It's eight years old and has given me very little problems. The most major thing it has required is a new radiator and considering the way I have treated it, that's pretty good.
11. I get to park in the over-sized parking spots which are generally the closer parking spots (like handicap parking!)
12. I can tow my friends in case they ever have car problems (and I have) which will save them a few bucks. Instead of paying a tow truck driver they just have to buy me lunch sometime.
13. Three words: Off. Road. Capabilities.

I'm always impressed whenever someone handles a car or truck well. And I'm damn near shocked when someone handles a minivan with finesse!
You make a very good argument for having a big truck. I'd better not let the Tour Manager see this!

I'm with you on the headlights. That's my favorite part. That, and then mine shine in smaller vehicle's mirrors and bother them :-)

I always always inspect a car's cupholders! My old Neon used to have the most pathetic excuse for cupholders--crap was always falling out of them! On an ill-fated trip from Starbucks, my tall hot chocolate tipped over and spilled all over my floorboards--smelled for weeks!

I've only ridden in a truck once. My father in laws pickup, when me and hubby borrowed it for a move. It was a bench seat and I enjoyed myself immensely.
