Over the weekends I like to go antique hunting at local thrift stores, retro/vintage stores as well as your average antique stores.
Well, I was out and about at a local antique store not really looking for anything in particular with Todd and The Hubby. After going up and down many aisles I became interested in some Pyrex bowls. As I was looking at these bowls Todd said, "Hey these containers look like they would match your Kelvinator." I turned around to see what he was referring to when my jaw practically hit the floor. The containers he was talking about were the two original juice containers that came with the Kelvinator Foodarama. I ran over and snatched them right up.
With the exception of the original butter dish and ice cube trays (there were six) my Kelvinator Foodarama has to be one the most complete there is. I dare someone to prove me wrong!
Here's a picture of one of the juice containers with the original lid:
And here's another pic of the two juice containers at home in the Breakfast Bar:
Oh, and in case you are wonder what a Kelvinator Foodarama looks like, or what a Kelvinator Foodarama is, here is a picture of mine.
And here is a picture of the Breakfast Bar. The Breakfast Bar is located inside the refrigerator door and holds eggs, bacon and juice.
Ahhh yes... once my Foodarama gets refurbished it'll be a dream kitchen come true!
And what makes it greater is that it's all Kelvinator.

Oh my goodness, that is so awesome. I am such a sucker for compartments.

I can't imagine the possibility of you just stumbling these juice containers. I've restored several of these refrigerators over the years and these parts and these things are just about impossible to find! I wonder if you are in a small town that you might have found the originals?

Actually I live in Phoenix, which is not a small town by any means. I found them at an antique store out here called "The Brass Armadillo". This store is so huge you can find just about anything, but I'm still surprised I found these juice containers. Needle in a haystack.

I have the exact same Foodaram refrigerator to sell. I used mine until June 2006 when we moved. The Foodarama does not fit the kitchen configuration at this house, so I am going to sell mine. Everyone that had seen my refrigerator falls in love with it. How much did you sell your Foodarama for???

How much do you suppose this thing weighs?

It weighs about 600lbs. It took three of us to get it on a furniture dolly.
